User Ratings and Reviews

3 Stars Just Fair
-Image quality is “Alright” if your film is perfectly exposed. If your film is slightly over/under exposed the quality becomes barely acceptable.

-Turns on whenever it wants, I need almost every time to press the power button a couple times, unplug it and plug it again to have it work. Annoying.

-The “Live View” to see your negatives before deciding to scan them or not just shut off sporadically. You can still scan your negatives but that defeat the purpose. You need to reboot the machine for the live view to work again.

-Manual and menus are obscure. One you get use to it the workflow is easy, but that’s pretty frustrating at the beginning.

Build quality and concept is great, I wish those little imperfection were fixed, especially for a $100 product.

Overall, if you’re a pro photographer, do not ever think about buying this product. If you’re just an enthusiast it might fit your needs.

2 Stars poor image quality – no control of exposure
like many other reviewers, I found this unit simple and cheap, but that it produces very poor quality scans. there is no control over exposure and contrast in the scans and as a result, most end up over-exposed and washed out.

5 Stars Very pleased
I read the reviews on this product and several others and decided on this model. It was a good decision. It works easily and the pictures are at least as good as the original. I think the problems that were mentioned previously must have been redesigned in the latest model. I had no problems. I am using a flash drive and then downloading to Picaso. The instructions say to press once to save the image and a second time to record it on the flash drive. I wasn’t sure about that at first and I pressed it a third time. It recording the image twice on the flash drive. I am really excited about having my old 35mm slides on the computer where I can make prints.

4 Stars Easy setup and fast scans
Much faster scans then the Pacific PF3600u that the Wolverine is replacing. The construction of the scanner seems to be a little cheap but it gets the job done. I have only used the device one day and on abut 100 slides. The built in SD card slot lets the user quickly scan and save 35mm slide images to a user supplied SD card. You don’t need a computer to scan slides and negatives but I use my computer to edit exposure and color. I like that I can use an USB cable from my desktop computer for both a power supply and communication link to the F2D200. The scanner has a one year manufactures limited warranty.

4 Stars Wolverine F2D200 Digital Image Conversion
My husband and I were both pleased with this product. It arrived promptly and in good order. We did have a little trouble at first figuring out the process of copying the slides to a disc, but once we figured it out, all went smoothly and quickly. If the product included an additional tray for the slides – the job could be done twice as fast with two people.
