Samsung UN32B6000 32 Inch 1080p 120 Hz LED HDTV

The B6000 is the slimmest of any LED TV on the market with tuner inside and the world’s slimmest wall mount solution that reduces the gap between the TV and the wall to less than 0.8 inches.

5 Stars Great experience!
Kudos to Amazon on shipping. I ordered this TV at midnight on Friday and it was delivered on Monday by UPS. I certainly can’t ask for any better service than that.
The TV is great! Setup was a breeze and it synched right up with my cable box. The picture is awesome and the sound is really good for internal speakers. I have it set up with the default settings for now but am looking forward to playing with the tools and tweaks when I have some time. We are currently running on the antenna connection from the cable box because the new HD cable box won’t be here until Saturday. Since the picture is so good hooked up this way which is the worst quality signal, I can’t wait to see what it looks like when I use an HDMI cable connection which is the best quality signal.
If you want LED technology, I definitely recommend this Samsung model. It is still a little pricey but the value is there. I will try to update the review when I get the HD Cable box and Blueray player installed next weekend.
Update – Comcast installed the HD cable box using an HDMI connection and the picture is awesome – big improvement over the antenna connection. Now we have the dilemna of actually not watching some TV shows we used to because they are not in HD. Interesting sidepoint – my cable bill actually decreased by $30 when I added 2 HD-DVR set-top boxes and dropped the premium channels I had (we hardly ever watched them) – a very pleasant surprise. Love this TV and will be getting a 46″ model for the family room to replace my older 36″ Sony Trinitron HDTV (there is no comparison in picture quality)that weighs about 200 pounds – hoping for an end of year deal.
4 Stars Great picture, sound is wanting, light is annoying
Pros:
This television has an excellent picture with outstanding clarity and startling range of colors. Very low wattage is appealing – we run it on solar power.
Cons:
Sound could be much better – the speakers face the wall, which impedes clarity. To me, the sound is no different with the surround sound ON or OFF. The white light under the set is an annoyance which fortunately can be turned off.
4 Stars Excellent TV, Horrendous Quality Control
Received first one with bezel scratched and scuffed, the 2nd with bezel chipped plus a few subtle scratches and scuffs. 3rd wont fit on it’s own stand. 4th one today, it’s perfect.
I wouldn’t have any other tv as it has the best picture and far and away nicest design on the market period. As long as your not a perfectionist or don’t mind returning several before getting one with an unscratched bezel.
Shame on Samsung for allowing such poor quality control to invalidate the highest priced 32″ LCD on the market.
5 Stars Great TV, great service from Amazon
I have been watching my UN32B6000 for a week now. Here is my short summary:
1. Great TV, picture quality is incredible, I really enjoy it (I have Dish HD).
2. Decent sound, I do not understand why other reviewers have complained about it.
3. Viewing angel is typical for Samsung TVs, slightly better than on my previous LCD.
Now, the main question many people may ask, is it worth it to spend extra $200-$300 to buy LED vs. LCD? I have another 32′ Samsung 640, 1080P, 120hz., which I bought four months ago. 640 series was made for Best Buy and is analog of 650 series that you could buy on Amazon. I found that LED edges LCD on picture quality, just a little bit. There is no difference in sound quality. If you like a new innovating design, great picture quality, improved power efficiency and need a thin, lighter TV, you should buy LED. If you would like to save money, you will be fine by buying comparable LCD.
4 Stars Great picture, sounds not great
We got this for our bedroom so I didn’t want anyting too big so I got the 32 inch size. Its just fine, although I might have gone up one more size now that I see it. The screen image is just fantastic. Samsung has the best crispest images. The sound this is not so good, but its not so bad it distracts from enjoyment. The sound levels are very narrow in that you can still hear it well on 1 and then 5 is all you need, so its hard to find quiet noise level. All in all I would recommend.

5 Stars Closest to True 3d Experience
This Samsung LED is the best picture experience I have seen. I purchased via Amazon.com to replace a Pioneer Professional Plasma Display in my living room. The nice thing about the Samsung LED is it even makes HD movies on HBO, Showtime etc…appear to have depth [3d-like experience]. Even watching NFL the experience is impressive as there is a very smooth picture with incredible clarity–will be even better when more shows are broadcast in 1080p vs 1080i. I have a Samsung Blu-Ray player via HDMI connection and am even more amazed with the quality of the picture as it takes it to the “next level”. The free shipping option was good and arrived within a week of purchase.
As far as connections go, I purchased two separate 25′ HDMI cables via Amazon and can confirm the quality is true 1080p with no picture/signal loss and had an ethernet cable ran to the tv for the Yahoo widgets and DLNA access. I was a bit hesitant about purchasing the TV as it is mounted above my fireplace and received a quote from a home theater installer to “bury” the cables in the wall for over $600. After calling my licensed electrician who wired the house, the total was $130 to move an electric outlet, run two HDMI Cables and Ethernet cable plus an additional fee for drywall finishing/repair after he was finished. I also purchased the Samsung slim wall mount and the electrician recessed the outlet on the stud for a totally flush/seamless mount.
Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase.

4 Stars a good buy…some bugs though.
I bought the 8000 series LED after much research and have been very happy with it. I just wanted to add that while it is an awesome tv it still has some bugs that should be tweeked in the next generation of Samsung. First, I noticed a “dim” or dark area in the center, at both top and bottom of the screen. It is hardly noticable during most viewing but it is there nonetheless. Second, the volume doesn’t seem consitant. During some movies I will have to frequently adjust the volume up and down. Third and last, the audio doesn’t want to play in sync with any stereo/home theatre setup I attach to it. There is a split second echo effect that makes the audio irritating to listen to. Best to do without it for now. As for picture quality, it is fantastic…especially with Blu-ray. movies like Underworld and Hellboy II are the ones I like to show off for guests. For you gamers, I have an Xbox 360 hooked to it and am very pleased with the quality. I even took advantage of the PC hookup and played World of Warcraft on it and was happy with how that looked. I think once I get the audio problems worked out I will be content. I recommend this to anyone…well, anyone who can afford it.

5 Stars Samsung
We searched all the different name brands for about 6 month to find the best. After careful consideration Samsung won out as the best you can get. We mounted it on a wall and could not be happier with the picture it is the best. The football and races are amazing. I would recommend this product. Size does make a difference. Great product and delivery was great. Two men brought the TV into my livingroom and placed it where we wanted it, very special service. Amazon is the best.
5 Stars Samsung LN52B550 52-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV with Red Touch of Color
After looking at all the TV models in stores locally this was the clearest sharpest picture i could find. Price with delivery credit and coupon was $300 lower then in stores. Delivery was fast. If your looking to upgrade this model is hard to beat.
4 Stars Great television…not so great shipping service.
Got th television in great shape. Was informed that he could only drop it off and not help in anyway. If I had ordered from Amazon he could help…but I thought I did. No assistance from Crutchfield deliveries? BTW I am in a 3/4 cast on my dominant arm. Thanks alot for the help. No more tv’s from Crutchfield…
On the point of the TV…best purchase I have made in years. It is replacing an old 42″ Samsung DLP that I got in 2005 and the differences are like night and day. Everything is sharper and easier to focus on. This is outstanding as I have my computer hooked to my TV with an HDMI cable. The changeover makes everything look brand new. Time to play some more games…nm I don’t have the use of my right hand either…
5 Stars Great TV
I love this tv. I have not had any issues with the refresh rate. I watch action movies all the time and there has not been any blur issue. I found this tv for less than $1200 delivered, at that price you can’t go wrong.

2 Stars Samsung LED and LCD TV WARNING
This is a warning to those who would purchase a Samsung TV. I purchased a Samsung LED TV and after a very short period of usage (less than 2,000 Hours at most) the tv started turning itself on and off when started……..eventually the set just stopped working altogether. I called Samsung for service and finally got a certified Samsung technician out to look at the TV. OVER $400.00 to repair……….and why?! Samsung is putting cheap capacitors in their power supplies………….so to replace 2 cheap capacitors, I paid over $400.00……..Now comes the fun part…..I’ve researched this and have found that thousands of people who have purchased Samsung TVs have had the same problem.
AVOID Samsung TVs until this problem is properly solved. I love the picture, and everything else about this Television (without this problem I’d have given it 5 stars) but this problem is totally unnecessary, it’s just Samsung corporate trying to save a few cents on some parts.
Again, AVOID SAMSUNG TVS at all costs until this problem is properly addressed.
4 Stars Almost Perfect solution
I first discovered the Samsung LED TV’s while looking for a flat screen at Best Buy. I was blown away by the picture and the amazing thinness of the TV. Since I was planning to hang the flat screen over a fireplace which had masonry behind 3/4″ sheet rock, I realized that this much lighter option could hang on Samsung’s new “picture hanger” system, which turned out to be a very easy installation, requiring only 2 holes drilled with a masonry bit into the fireplace. I was able to install the set myself in under an hour. The picture clarity is amazing, but the sound will require upgrading. I anticipate adding the Blu-ray soundbar in the near future. My only real criticisms are the non-inclusion of the WiFi dongle that makes this set interact with my home network. I bought the B7000 series for it’s Internet capability and was disappointed to learn that despite my costly purchase, I still needed to buy the propietary Samsung USB network adapter for an additional $70. This should have been included with the set or Samsung should have done a better job of indicating that an additional piece of equiptment would be necessary. I understand that the Infolink system will let me use other Samsung components with the same remote controller, however I wish the included remote was “smart” enough to learn how to control my HD Comcast DVR, so I wouldn’t have to still use 2 remotes to use my TV.
5 Stars Samsung UN46B7000 46-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LED HDTV
Great picture and easy start up of the TV. Easy controls and would recommend this LCD LED TV to anyone looking. Great price through Amazon as well.
5 Stars Amazing is the only way to describe…
I was eyeing this tv the day it was introduced and had to put it off for a while because of my upcoming wedding.
After that was over though, I was right back to salivating over this set. I was ready to pay retail for this at a certain blue big-box store. Never even thinking to check Amazon for it. Long story short I did and I am in LOVE with this set! It has been worth every penny so far.
I have been drawn to Samsung LCD’s ever since they came out with the Touch of Color. We ended getting this one in the red because it brought a really good balance of color to our living room. This tv is also available in TOC gray at the aforementioned big-box store. But why get something this beautiful in a color that won’t make it stand out?! Of course the profile only being a little over 1″ makes this look incredible mounted with Samsung’s slim wall mount kit. With the kit it only stands off of the wall about two inches and is easy enough to install. I love when people first come over and see it. I get comments on how nice this tv is every time. And that’s before I even turn it on!
Hit the power button and WOW, the colors are just incredible and the blacks are actually black. No issues have been seen that have been mentioned in other reviews(ie: inconsistent backlighting). I was afraid I was going to have to adjust the settings like crazy to get the screen as good as it looked in the store. Boy was I wrong. I changed maybe two sliders slightly in the menu. Speaking of which…. the menu’s are very easy to use and are laid out thoughtfully. Everything seems to be customizable too, including the standby light and little jingle when you power on and off(Nice touch, Samsung! I cannot say the same for the Vizio in our bedroom.). Tons of connections in the back too.
I also cannot get around the fact that this tv just flat out saves us money too!! It’s power consumption is insanely low. We use the DLNA Technology in this to access our home server directly and watch movies, listen to music and view photos we have saved. So it is on almost all the time in our home. I was intending to do this with whatever tv I purchased so this one is essentially paying for itself over a standard LCD. And of saving money makes my wife happy!
Two things that bug me though:
The internet features that seperate this model from the 6000 series seem to be of limited function though. I check it occasionally to see the new content that is available, but nothing has really seemed to interest me yet. I will keep watching though, I have heard of some promising things on the horizon for this.
The glossy finish on bezel is EXTREMELY SCRATCH PRONE!! I knew this, my wife did not. With luck though, I realized that Zaino show car wax fixes the bezel back to better than new. Much better actually! It almost looks liquid now! I have yet to take a good picture but look at the Nissan 350Z on their home page and you’ll get the idea. [...]
I would say that covers all of the major stuff with the Samsung UN46B7000. I have owned this tv for about four months now and would say that if any other annoyance would be popping up, it would have happened by now. Thanks for reading and hope I helped you decide to pick up this amazing television! Please rate!!
5 Stars Truly stunning picture!
The title says it all. I him-hawed for 2+ months reading and looking around and finally decided on the Samsung.
I was somewhat hesitant due to reviews downgrading the sound quality. I almost bought a Bose Cinemate II system at the same time to use for sound and am glad I did not. Mind you we use it as a TV and not so much as a theater system. I think the sound is just fine for TV programs and does OK for movies too. It has an SRS mode that certainly enhances the sound over the normal mode so it’s what we use. Clarity is good etc. I don’t think we’d even use a Bose system for normal viewing; only for movies.
I was also hesitant due to a review I read regarding some kind of lack-of-brightness anomaly in the screen center due to the edge LED’s vs full screen LED. I’ve tried to see whatever it was the person was referring to and can’t. It may have been while gaming which I do not do on this particular unit.
I am the last of my circle of friends/relatives to get a flat screen and am glad I waited. The LED and 120hz was worth the wait. The ‘circle’ owns Sony Bravia’s, Vizio’s, Sharp’s, Panasonic’s and they have all been amazed with the Samsung. I’m not bragging; merely pointing out there are an array of people with other nicely rated flat screens that have been impressed seeing this one so that speaks volumes. My son who has had HD for years was chuckling because he could not believe the level of detail he was seeing on the screen. I bring these comments in because I was understandably bedazzled as a new-to-HD person, but the others are all ‘veterans’ so to speak.
The bright black bezel surrounding the screen is initially distracting but becomes invisible after a day or so. It will however reflect bright lights, sun etc as it does on our set up but isn’t too bad. If one were offered with a matte finish I’d get it. The unit easily rotates +/- 20 degrees on the included stand which is welcome to help in reducing the bezel reflection (lots of windows in our house). I suppose thin screen would be nice for a wall mount but makes no difference to me on sitting on a TV stand as we use it.
Menu stuff seems fine. Takes some getting used to the additional items not found on a CRT/non HD set we had. Nice addition is the ‘baby’ remote. The ‘baby’ remote is a small second remote with a volume up/down & channel up/down disk and a power button. The main remote is in the drawer after initial set up.
Set up was easy – pretty much hooked up the HDMI and turned it on. Could be my ignorance showing up, but I like the fact the TV seems to have an auto detect mode for the signal. When we go from HD channel to a non HD channel the TV switches to the 4:3 screen mode automatically and puts the vertical bars in. The sets I’ve seen in my ‘circle’ do not seem to do that, so in non HD you’re watching people with stretched faces etc; maybe they never set it up? I don’t know. The Samsung was out of the box that way.
Definitely recommend.

5 Stars As Far As TV’s Go
Simply put, this is the best Television I ,personally, have ever bought. Yes it does have a few sound issues. Mainly being that it isn’t anywhere near loud enough with the speakers that it comes with, but if you use a surround sound system then its a moot point. It has a beautiful picture that is second to none.
1 Star Do you see what I see
At first I really liked this TV, and thought the picture was great. But then two big problems showed themselves. One, the “flashligting” mentioned in other reviews when in a letterbox DVD, etc. The other biggie are the three shadows along the left and right sides. When getting a demo, wait for a full screen of a bright solid color and look along the edges. For the price, I think it’s a deal breaker. The LG doesn’t have it, nor does the 42″ class. Called Samsung, and they blamed the cable box, even after testing on a DVD, and seeing it on the showroom model. Glad I kept the box. Im sure by super bowl there will be better prices and selection.
5 Stars incredible TV
this TV is phenomenal.
the 120 Motion Plus feature makes the image so ‘real’ we actually turn it off for movies.
the Amazon price, plus a large promotional discount we got, made this price pretty good.
the 55 inch picture is definitely the most we’d ever need.
5 Stars Happy in Towaco
Very happy with the performance and look of this set. The picture quality is amazing.
Had it 5 weeks and have seen no shortcomings.
BTW: We were also very satisfied with the service provided by Amazon. Everything was first class.
3 Stars No 5.1 audio push from HDMI
Like most of the reviews, I found the picture quality to be awesome. The only picture quality issue is automatic backlight adjustment during dark scenes. I notice it, and it bothers me a bit. I would like to turn it off somehow, but I have not figured out how to do that yet (if possible).
One large aggravation is the optical audio out from the TV does not push Dolby 5.1 surround when it is being sent from an HDMI connection. According to the manual it will only push 5.1 “when the TV is displaying a DTV(air) signal….” I am not sure why this is so, and it is a bit frustrating.
